Who is really an expert?

This is my first posting of an article on the Internet reviewing Ezine and other related websites. Admittedly, I am a newbie to internet sales and marketing as I was initially introduced to distributing and promoting a network marketing product/company on the internet in the spring of 2007. However, I was very excited to see this last Super Bowl to watch commercials for the Internet. during commercial breaks for Go Daddy and iContact and really find out what they were. My friends, family and colleagues sure don’t!! So why am I writing this article? Well, that answer is twofold. First of all, I must understand that Ezine and other sites like Ryze are vehicles for establishing connections with other networkers and the public, while at the same time fostering a degree of trust between them on the web. Second, after perusing other web articles, I am compelled to make this submission.

Reviewing a good number of web articles from those who refer to themselves as so-called “experts” providing advice, I unexpectedly came across several people I recognized in my brief time on the web who are simply wolves in sheep’s clothing. , so to speak. . what do I want to say with that? Simply that there are those, as in any walk of life, who are simply looking to make a dollar instead of building real organizations by cultivating real relationships. This is unfortunate for web newbies like me. In due time, these people will meet the inevitable fate of exposure, hopefully at viral speed! However, it would be quite refreshing to read more content about people’s real life experiences and thus make a personal assessment on the validity of how and to what extent these people claim to be experts and thus provide tips.

So how do you go about deciphering the real experts from all the so-called others? Well, in that field, my experience unfortunately stems from making some early mistakes. Having confessed this, my first recommendation before choosing an online company under the direction of an expert and/or mentor, is to check, respectively, the reputation of said sponsor, as well as the validity of the particular company/product of interest, to as far as possible. Now mind you, one can still be fooled, as it often takes a while for these so-called experts to come out from under their rocks. For example, I recently lost a small fortune, along with Wal-Mart and one of the world’s largest entertainment companies, to an individual and his holding company cronies, all of whom turned out to be swindlers with prior lawsuits in against you for fraud. . Painful though it was and still is, I was in good company with the likes of Wal-Mart, proving that even the best of us can be fooled, although I dare say it’s safe to surmise that Wal-Mart’s losses were comparatively insignificant. More recently, however, I joined an online company run by a person who made pledges of support to reveal the mysterious ways of internet marketing to me, only to be dumped by this person almost immediately afterward. Guess that puts me in the category of cheating twice!! Hopefully the truth is in the adage, the third time is a charm! Going forward…

So the question remains, what steps can you take to avoid the kinds of mistakes that cost us valuable time and money? For those of us who are new to internet marketing and require real guidance and direction, it seems like it would be wise to first contact your chosen company and whatever corporate support system they may have. Find out how long the company has been around, if they are familiar with the person and/or team you are considering, and what their policies are regarding potential difficulties that may arise. Also, ask the company to tell you where much, if not all, of the requested information can be obtained in writing.

Fortunately, my most recent issue occurred with a reputable company that supported me after reviewing issues with my upline. However, a colleague was not so lucky. That unnamed company failed to provide support when a similar issue arose with, so to speak, a high-profile sponsor of alleged success in multiple internet ventures. Which brings me to another vitally important recommendation, and that is to make sure you document all of your communications so that, should a problem arise, you have the evidence you need to make your case. My company made its decision solely based on a trail of email communications between me and my upline, which I sent based on your review request and prevailed. His decision in my favor provided me with significant advances in sharply reducing my learning curve and thereby hastening and reinforcing my potential for success.

What else can you do to eliminate bad seeds? Be sure to get references from this person and/or team you are considering partnering with. For all intents and purposes, it really is a partnership that you will be participating in. In a brick and mortar business, one would never consider it a good idea to enter into a partnership or contract with a virtual stranger. So why are we doing it online? There are probably many answers to that question. The relatively small amounts of financial investment needed to get started in many online businesses likely play a role. Whatever the case, these pitfalls can, for the most part, be avoided by asking for real references from the person you’re about to partner with. Then go one step further and ask these people for their own references. Always go back to the company or sources like Google or blogs to check for affirmative comments or possible complaints. Do not rely solely on website testimonials. Do a thorough and diligent search of the background of your potential online partner and the company and/or product they represent. In that effort, don’t be afraid to contact other competitor representatives at the same company for more information and comparison shopping. Keep in mind that you are a valuable asset. Sponsors must compete for you, not just your purchase.

Finally, why should you take my advice? Well, I have paid a heavy price for my mistakes as an online newbie, just learning to surf the web for the purpose of earning serious money. Before I got involved in an online business, my only experience on the Internet was through searching, research, minor purchases, and paying bills. However, I think there are many people out there who have an urgent or immediate requirement and/or desire to get seriously involved in increasing, or even replacing, their income by working in an online business full or part time. I also believe that it is quite possible to achieve relatively large financial goals in a fairly short specific time frame, even as a web newbie. However, I must qualify that statement, and this is the critical part. Without a sophisticated working knowledge of internet marketing, you are likely to be a 97% failure statistic, unless you have a key ingredient in your corner.

What is that key ingredient? If you haven’t already guessed, he’s a true internet marketing expert at your chosen opportunity with, and here’s the important part, a real reputation for helping others, including true newbies, and a real verifiable track record for teaching others. to do the same, with even more, a willingness to personally mentor you. But you say, the Internet is full of these kinds of people! And my answer to that is a resounding NO; The internet is filled with a plethora of people claiming to be! It’s usually a relatively simple process to learn the details of a product, and therefore it’s easy to get excited about something you’d like to share with others, either because of its value and/or because of the financial opportunity it may present. But, and it’s a huge punch of a but, the key to your internet success will be in the marketing of that product and/or opportunity, which only 3% are achieving to any measurable degree!

So what makes me an expert in defining and/or recognizing an expert? On the web to date, just my recent research and mistakes through trial and error that I would very much like others to avoid. However, I have had the privilege of what some might consider a successful career as a chiropractic physician for over 28 years, having treated thousands of patients as well as counseled and consulted others over the years. My portfolio consists of a multitude of professional, internship development, motivational, success-oriented seminars, as well as annual continuing education. You will find my professional resume in Career Builder, etc. I also come from a well-known family in the music industry. In my semi-retirement I have returned to my roots of original music production. So what do these years of supposedly unrelated experience have to do with defining and/or recognizing an internet expert? In fact, my life experiences may well constitute an expert’s right of way. However, despite a fervent spirit of self-determination, the nexus to success in any worthwhile field of endeavor lies in securing proper training from qualified experts.

The origin of the word doctor is derived from the Latin meaning teacher. From this doctor/professor’s perspective, there is a key ingredient to initial success on the web that is largely under-advertised, if not completely neglected. That ingredient, especially for beginners, is connecting with a real expert, a real person or people, who will actually teach you the ropes. He/she/they should guide you through the steps to initially promote your business online without overwhelming or confusing you. Ask your sponsor for advice on what tools might be useful and applicable to your level of understanding, before investing in the myriad of products that guarantee your online success. I certainly didn’t become a licensed physician by having a bunch of e-books, CDs, DVDs, and/or administrative tools thrown at me indiscriminately! Instead, like any worthwhile endeavor, it took real people, teachers/experts with real credentials in their field, teaching other real people what they knew!

It has been said that the ultimate success that defines any teacher is only fully realized when the student exceeds in knowledge and its further application what the teacher possesses. In closing, my advice to anyone considering connecting with a sponsor/upline in any online business, again particularly critical for beginners, is this. Until you’re ready to take flight on your own having earned your own wings in online marketing, so to speak, the initial key ingredient in your recipe for accelerating online success will rest on your chosen upline. Don’t be intimidated by potential sponsors who simply brag about their own successes and tell you to just “go out and do it.” Swill!! Unless they are willing to guide you instead of just selling you, go for it! There are many successful and sincere sponsors out there! Make sure yours is one of them!

Alas, choose well, my fellow entrepreneurs. Make your own definitive diagnosis on your potential online sponsor and increase your chances of a good prognosis for your online success. I will keep you updated as I learn and collect more real facts and real experiences for your true protection and web success. To your health and wealth!!
