What is Taoist funeral services? A Taoist funeral is a traditional Chinese one that honors your loved ones. The term “Taoist” was borrowed from the ancient Chinese philosophical tradition, the Tao. The Taoists believe in the eternal and spontaneous movements of life.

According to them, everything is connected; it’s all connected to one another. Everything in your life is a reflection of your past. Therefore, the dead can always be associated with the Tao; they are like a reflection of the sun or the moon. In Chinese culture, the dead are given the highest importance; they are revered and honored as if they were still alive. In fact, most of the funeral customs are still carried out as if the person who is dead still lives on in spirit.

In the Taoist calendar, there are twelve human elements – air, water, fire, earth, metal, wood, fire, wood, stone and wood. When these elements are combined, they create the blueprint of creation. The twelve bodies are then combined into one soul or body. Just as every body part has an effect on every other body part, each soul has an effect on every other soul.
