What did Gurdjieff say about Frank Lloyd Wright meditation and increasing energy? Part 1 of 3

“The strength and degree of one man’s inner benevolence causes in others a proportionate degree of ill-will” – Gurdjieff

“Evil people always hate those on the opposite end of the moral spectrum” – Earl Spencer at Lady Diana’s funeral

“The Radiance of the Buddha Field irritates, depresses or upsets Negative Energy Blockages, and by these fruits, you will know them!” -Satchidanand

The Masters show you the Energetic Blockages of the ego. With Kundalini meditation techniques and blockage removal, it should be easy to remove blockages.

Gurdjieff, while manifesting with this inner benevolence, his radiant Buddha field, this inner radiation which is called love, the energy of change, tried by all means to decrystallize the already crystallized vanity and conceit in people; and this made him enemies.

Orage, a great student of Gurdjieff, said: “If someone tells me a truth with the aim of helping me, a tonic truth, which shows me something about myself, my vanity and self-respect, my ego, they get hurt. I resent it. .

If he says something flattering to me, even if it’s mean to me, I’m his friend for life.

How many people consider public celebrities “Great People”, celebrities who are privately vain, conceited and fussy. The great mass of people regard some world leaders as “Great Men”, those who are actually steeped in vanity, self-pride, self-love and selfishness to the point of madness.”

Gurdjieff speaks of his connection to the universe automatically present in all enlightened beings, causing energy to automatically radiate to all who are connected to him and in his presence. The light of the Enlightened ones clarifies and reveals the energetic blockages of the ego.

He spoke of his consciously created goal of always manifesting himself without exception benevolently, radiantly, towards all for their good, while at the same time waging a ceaseless struggle against the weaknesses inherent in their natures.

People forgot what Gurdjieff had done for them in removing their illnesses, their psychic blocks and in personal help, and only remembered their wounded vanity. Perhaps, if people knew that Gurdjieff was going to show them his sensitive spots directly, then they would react in the right way by thanking him for finding his energy blockages so that with advanced blockage removal techniques they could be released.

However, unless people know that they need to want to lose their ego, unless they really want to become a good person, there is no point in going to see a Master. Gurdjieff would just remove these kinds of bad people as quickly as possible so as not to waste time.

There is always a good and bad battle twink in everything. Most of the time people get distracted by their bad sides and give in to anger, jealousy and come… All the bad sides of the egotistical competitive ego.

Gurdjieff was well known for his “Toasts to Idiots!” where he asked the new students and the older ones what kind of idiots they were. And since they had no answer, he told them. And this information could tell a lot about the internal blocks and the psyche of the student and could help him a lot. The student’s reaction also revealed the inner self of him.

For example, Frank Lloyd Wright, the famous American architect, was visiting Gurdjieff in Paris because his wife was one of Gurdjieff’s students and had stayed with him for some time.

One of the students there that night knew Lloyd Wright and expected to hear some interesting questions and answers, but he said that Wright behaved like a brilliant student, and it was clear that he knew nothing of real spirituality.

He seemed to consider that Gurdjieff had reached almost the same level as him, although he knew more about some things than he, Wright. Sometimes it is gratifying to discover that the “great” men have their weaknesses, their vanity and their self-esteem, just like oneself; and “I noticed that when Mr. Gurdjieff provoked Wright’s stinging vanity, something malicious in me had a feeling of mild satisfaction.”

During the idiot toast, Wright said, “Mr. Gurdjieff, I have found some of these ‘idiots’ very interesting, I have invented some myself.”

Reading the Tales of Beelzebub to his grandson to the assembled people, Wright said, “This is very interesting, Mr. Gurdjieff. It’s a pity it’s not well written. You speak English very well. It’s a pity you can’t dictate. If I had the time you could dictate to me, and I could put it into good English for you.”

Gurdjieff had told him to read a section of Beelezebub that told Wright about his own inner weaknesses under the guise of talking about someone else, which is the normal technique of a Master. Selfish, vain and competitive Wright couldn’t take it.

Wright then said that he should stop reading because he was too tired, which happens when an ego block has been found, his daughter was too tired, and she had better go back to the hotel. Gurdjieff said, “You’d better stop for her, she’s still young and just getting started, but you’re an old man and your life is over!”

Wright blushed and said angrily: “Certainly, my life is not over, there is much I can still do.” Or something like that. He got up and left with his family in what is called “High Dudgeon!”

“Like each of us facing Gurdjieff, Wright’s mask came off. Everyone, without exception, as they ate and drank with him, revealed their essential being.”

Gurdjieff says that our early upbringing gives rise to the impulses of vanity and conceit and affirms that happiness in life and good relations with everyone depend on the absence of the feeling of vanity and conceit, susceptibility, within ourselves. Susceptibility is the symptom of a blockage of psychic energy.

So one of the tests of being with a master is not to react to these tests of vanity and ego, but to use the reaction to clear the block with advanced techniques to break the block. Your ego reactions will show you where the ego blocks are. No reaction to the probes of the Masters can only be achieved when the ego no longer exists.

Therefore, gentle reactions are of great help in moving towards Enlightenment, which only occurs when there are no energy blockages left.

Such clashes, created by Gurdjieff, were introduced to show you the weaknesses of your ego.

But very few understand the true work of the Masters, which is to help you remove the ego blocks. Everything they do is dedicated to that goal. And very few competitive egoists can remain in the presence of true love…

For very deep and powerful Energy Blocks, Gurdjieff said that one should meditate with a Meditation Master, within his Buddha Field. Let the Master do the work!

Or one must learn very powerful block breaking techniques. Then, like Alexander the Great, you can learn how to cut the blocked Gordian knot with your Manjushri Sword of Discernment!

Usually, the necessary solution is a combination of being with a meditation teacher and learning advanced techniques for removing blockages.
