The SIM card and My Curiosity’s Satisfaction

Have you ever thought what is the problem with that golden plate, inserted in your mobile phone? I did, so I searched for the information and now I can share with you what I found out.

As a child, I was always interested in what’s inside the different gadgets and tools my dad kept in his garage. He wanted to know what he keeps in his boxes of different sizes, what’s in his furniture. My dad used to spend a lot of time in his garage, which often made my mom mad at him.

As a child, I thought: “Since my dad, an adult, is interested in spending so much time with his parts for his cars, for the radio and for his tools, there is something interesting in them, my mom I don’t know about.”

So whenever I got the chance, I would spend my time alone in my father’s garage, trying to find out his secret. I couldn’t understand what was keeping him there, but I was curious and interested to meet all the staff, who were kept in the garage.

My curiosity had so much room for satisfaction. Sometimes this curiosity led me to reveal the radio, my father listened to it all the time, being in the garage. Of course, I even tried to repair it several times until it stopped working. Even now my father has 5 broken radios in his garage, which I tried to fix!

This curiosity is still with me and I’m glad for that. It sure affected my computer, since when I bought it I didn’t have any knowledge in hardware and software. I didn’t even know the difference between them. But I wanted to know what the computer is. This made me try different programs, go to different settings and learn how to deal with them. There were several times when my good friends had to come to repair my computer, but the good news is that I learned a lot of new things.

Guess what my next tech obsession is out of curiosity? I can say you. This is my mobile phone. In my country I had to buy a phone and the number separately. I was curious to understand how they are connected. And I came to know that there is a gold color plate, which needs to be inserted into the mobile phone, which contains my number. Looking closely at that plate, I discovered nothing. So, I gave up for a while with the only understanding that such a board is called a SIM card.

Not long ago I started working for a company that provides different software, including software for mobile phones. There I again heard about this plate of golden color. Studying the products of this company, I found out that this board contains a chip, which has information stored on it. I saw this chip inserted into smart cards and tokens, they also provide software.

I first found out that my card’s memory is partially filled with wireless provider information and there is free space available for my contacts data, which I can add and manage. The provider inserted my phone number on the card, your name and other data, which I cannot delete or replace. The other part of the memory can be used for data storage, such as my phone numbers or SMS. Some of the information, which I can insert, can be stored on this card, another – in the phone’s memory.

Now I wanted to have access to my personal data on the card. I was thinking for a longer time about the opportunity to do it with the card management software on my computer, which could help me easily sort my phone entries (like editing some numbers, removing others and adding new ones once).

The company I work for gave me the opportunity to test an easy to use software called Dekart SIM Manager. This software helped me to easily access my SIM card. You can imagine how happy I was that I finally got the chance to access my phone data using a personal computer instead of the phone keypad! I was anticipating the achievement of my long time wish. It was so exciting!

Thanks to Dekart SIM Manager I was able to know that my card has protection tools, such as PIN codes. I heard about them and was always confused about using them. Now with this friendly design software, I was able to easily manage these codes as well.

One new thing that I was able to discover from the developer of this software is that it also supports universal SIM cards found in 3rd generation mobile wireless systems, as well as different types of GSM SIM cards, which contain more than 250 phonebooks. tickets.

My needs as an individual user were fully satisfied by the opportunities of this software to manage my contacts and codes. I think it can be of real use for GSM operators, who require special features such as the ability to view SIM serial number, PIN1 status, phonebook technical data, memory size, and phone number. free tickets.

My curiosity was fully satisfied. I have even a lot more! What about you?
