The glamor of Bollywood sarees: a rising trend in Indian fashion

Saris- “Is it an upward trend in fashion”? When was it out of fashion? No matter how many types of clothing and fashion hit the Bollywood industry, sarees as an epitome of beautiful classic badges will always outshine the rest. Haven’t you noticed how the saree makes everyone look classy? And by ‘everyone’, I mean all women, regardless of color, race, ethnicity, etc.

Ancient clothing continues to be a trend and will continue to do so as long as civilization lasts with or without fashion. You know about Bollywood and its glamor, right? The industry vibrates with well-adorned celebrities making statements in exquisite ethnic dresses every time they release a Bollywood movie.

Funny how Valentino’s and Prada’s are complementary in Bollywood, which won’t be enough to make a fashion statement on its own! Because saree is in itself a fusion. It represents a homogeneous mixture of Hinduism and Muslim times. So how can it go out of style? The answer is never. In addition to giving the appeal of a good, cultured and independent woman, there is more to the garment: it is timeless which makes it classic and elegant, its versatility makes it always in fashion. No matter how westernized Bollywood gets, no matter how many kiss scenes it adopts, but our Bollywood actresses will never let go of this “Desi-drape”. Ever-evolving curtains are never absolute due to their versatility. It used to be a fashion statement, it still is and always will be. However, don’t assume you are “stuck.” Fashion is constantly trending and its mantra is “adopted evolution”.

A new direction of sarees is the adoption of lehenga sarees. It is certainly still changing every day. New styles emerge when it comes to the highly competitive world of the fashion industry and emerging designers. Since last year, ‘half sarees’, a hybrid of lehenga and traditional sarees is the new Bollywood Black. What is more beautiful added to this invention is that in addition to being easy to wear unlike traditional sarees, it comes along with dupattas that bring out Bollywood glamor. Rani Mukherjee in her recent appearance wore a bright pink designer half saree with floral motifs. She looked beautiful. Isn’t that what saris are supposed to do? Half sarees are just amazing.

Sarees as a traditional and elegant appeal hardly need a makeover. There are times when a simple traditional saree becomes the attraction of a boring party. A bride in the Indian subcontinent always prefers to wear red sarees or contrasting bright colors. It is usually worn at the ‘mehendi’ function or on the day of the reception. Fabrics such as silk, chiffon, Kanchivaram and Banarasi are used for the saree, however the silky material is better suited to the occasion. Heavily zari embellished sarees are always a head turn. It’s not just the bride, but all the guests who attend the occasion adorn themselves to look their best and definitely in a saree, you can’t go wrong. Fits everyone’s shape and size.

The history of the sari is not limited only to the Indian subcontinent. Its popularity is widespread in the seven seas. Even Hollywood is inspired by this traditional appeal. I wouldn’t be wrong to say that even Hollywood can’t resist Bollywood, from the Heiress Paris Hilton Hotel to my personal favorite Blake Lively, super model Naomi Campbell and (woman who needs no introduction) Oprah Winfrey have promoted saris and inspired styles. of designer clothes that are safely called “ Indo-Western dress ” styles. Indian ethnic clothing is on the rise in the global market and who else can promote it better than the influential celebrities themselves!

However, the credit should definitely go to Bollywood actresses for putting the Indian saree on the world map. The Bollywood glow is amplified in these ethnic clothing. You can see how amazing and glamorous Bollywood is with its representative saree as its first face. Sarees have become essential for all women in the world and their occasion has exceeded only the wedding days. Celebrities now wear it to red carpet events or any formal occasion, showing just how respected the appeal is.

Black is the most elegant color to wear, it is no wonder celebrities these days prefer black sarees to little black dresses. From pop stars to models, everyone is sporting the highly embellished black lace sarees with rich sequins and beads or just the simple translucent sarees say a lot in elegance.

Naomi Campbell and Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls band were seen flaunting the black desi curtain at international events. The popularity of this attraction is staggering. At the same time, “color” is a quintessential Bollywood signature. Our own celebrities like to embrace variety and glitter and we can’t disagree with the trendsetters. For example, Aishwarya Rai Bachan in her postpartum period wore the most amazing saris that pleased the viewer.

Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, etc. They have captured world attention with their beautiful designs that always give a new edge to this ethnic clothing that fascinates the world; therefore, the saree will never be thrown at the bottom of a woman’s wardrobe.
