A resume cover letter is an important part of the job application. It is the job applicant’s responsibility to carefully craft a resume and cover letter that send a positive message to the hiring manager about the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skills.

One of the main reasons for writing a cover letter is that it should compel the hiring manager to call the job applicant for an interview and move forward. In a way, it’s a short “sales letter” in which the job applicant describes her eligibility for the available job.

Examples of closing words just before signing:

Tips related to signing:

* Below the closing words, write the job applicant’s name and leave enough space for a signature above.
* When sending the cover letter by post, sign with a blue ink pen, if sending by fax, sign with a black ink pen, and when sending by email, write your full name.
