ACT THE ADVERB

# of players: 3 or more

Necessary objects: Any

To start this extremely fun acting game, choose a person to leave the room. Everyone else playing the game will collectively decide on an adverb. Examples can be: humorously, unpleasantly, quietly, forcefully, etc. (there are certain adjectives that work just as well). The person who left the room (referred to as “it”) will come back and randomly choose people to represent certain verbs. But, the people who act must represent the verb in the manner of the adverb. For example, if the adverb chosen by the group is silent, “it” can ask someone to: eat, walk, dance, sing, read, jump, etc. yew to walk is the chosen verb, the person who is acting will have to act walking, but do it silent. And talking while acting is not allowed.

“It” will then try to guess what the “adverb” is. After the first person acts walking, “it” will guess what they think the adverb is. If they don’t guess correctly silent, They will ask another person in the group to act out the adverb, but this time they will have to choose a different verb. Now someone may have to read, but do it silent. If “it” doesn’t guess the adverb correctly after the second performance, they only get one more chance. After the third person acts on a (different) verb in the manner of the adverb, if ‘it’ still can’t guess what the adverb is, they don’t get a point. However, if they guess the adverb correctly within three tries, they get one point. Each person will take turns being “it” by leaving the room and having to re-enter and try to guess the chosen adverb; In each round, the group will choose a new adverb to act out. The first person to score 5 points is the winner!
