Many women will also continue to use the strips while trying to change their pH. For example, if you are acidic but you are trying to have a child, you can change your diet to include foods with low pH and you can douche with certain things to reduce this level. Then you would keep using the strips to see how much they are paying off or to determine which foods or douches are giving you the best results. The same process is true if you are trying to have a girl, but instead you will try to become more acidic.
People sometimes combine the use of the strips with urine or saliva ovulation predictors, as timing is another aspect of this process that you can control to get the results you want. People who want a baby boy will need to conceive later in their fertility cycle than people who want a baby girl. This is where predictors of ovulation also become very important.
