Another attraction to look forward to is the Tuacahn, which is the Mayan word for “Canyon of the Gods.” The Tuacahn Amphitheater and Center for the Arts sits in the shadows of 1,500-foot red rock cliffs and is like Broadway in the desert. This open-air theater is truly spectacular with its red rock cliff backdrop. The theater company also features Utah’s best actors to entertain us all.
Also popular with tourists is the Dinosaur Walkway. The St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm is still fairly new and in its early stages of scientific study and development. But the area has already become famous for the dinosaur footprints preserved in the sandstone slabs of the Moenave Formation. These are some of the oldest and best preserved tracks in the world. We can see the tracks of three-toed dinosaurs from long ago, and we can also see skin tracks and impressions of tail drags and swimming movements.
