3 delicious tofu recipes you must try on Sunday

Sweet chili tofu:

Sweet chili tofu is an easy dish to cook. And it also goes well with rice. We suggest using Firm Tofu or Extra Firm Tofu to prepare the recipe.

Ingredients:

• Firm Tofu/ Extra Firm Tofu (cubed)

• Cornstarch

• Salt

• Pepper

• Olive oil

• Bell pepper (red/green)

• Onions

• Sweet chili sauce (from supermarkets)

Preparation:

1. Add the cornstarch, salt, and paper to a bowl. Then cover the tofu in it.

2. Get ready with your preheated pan and fry them with olive oil for about five minutes until lightly browned. And keep them aside.

3. In the same pan, add the bell pepper and onion and dry fry for about 2-4 minutes until softened.

4. Add tofu to the pan. Cook for another two minutes.

5. Then take a serving bowl and pour in the sweet chili sauce.

Your Sweet Chili Tofu is ready to serve as it only takes 10-15 minutes to cook. You can enjoy it with white rice or brown rice.

Jerky Tofu:

This recipe is one of my favorites. Although you need many ingredients to make the recipe, it is very easy to cook. This recipe is Jamaican inspired Jerk Tofu.

Ingredients:

• 1 Red Onion

• 1 jalapeno

• 1 spring onion

• Garlic (a few cloves)

• Brown sugar (2 tablespoons)

• Vinegar (Apple Cider/ White Vinegar)

Spices:

• Thyme leaves (half a teaspoon)

• Ground cloves (half a teaspoon)

• Cinnamon powder (half a teaspoon)

• Ground allspice (half a teaspoon)

• Ground nutmeg (half a teaspoon)

Preparation:

1. Chop all the vegetables.

2. Get a blender or food processor to mix all the ingredients together to make it smooth.

3. Add all the spices to the blender.

4. Cut the extra firm tofu into a steak shape and place it on the plate.

5. Add jerk marinade over tofu.

6. Store in the refrigerator from 10 minutes to overnight.

7. Get a frying pan. And fry the marinated tofu in a pan over medium low heat for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.

Note: Your jerk tofu is ready to eat. You can also use a grill pan for a smoky flavor. You can heat the rest of the jerk marinade for extra. You can serve it with rice or sautéed broccoli. Jerk tofu is delicious and well worth adding to your vegan meal prep.

Tofu lettuce wrap:

Tofu wrap is one of the purest dishes in vegan meal prep. It will take 10-15 minutes to prepare. It is 100% delicious and easy to make. Therefore, it makes a great takeout.

Ingredients:

• Water chestnuts (drained and diced)

• Edamame

• Spring onion

• Garlic paste and chopped onion

• Soy sauce

• Lettuce

Preparation:

1. Put everything in a hot pan and cook until the tofu starts to brown. Make sure to keep the heat on medium heat.

2. Add a dash of soy sauce to the pan (at the last minute)

3. Now fill the lettuce with cooked tofu.

The tofu wrap is ready to enjoy. If you like, you can add carrots, avocado, mushrooms, and bell peppers to the ingredients. You can also add some sauce (such as sweet chili sauce, stir fry sauce, barbecue sauces) to the wrap.
