Hello Folks! Welcome to Our Blog.

Pioneering the bike and bicycle trade industry, Bottecchia has developed innovative molded technology for both its race and commuter bike models. Bottecchia bikes are not only classy pieces of equipment, but are also well designed with very good equipment at a very reasonable price. The technology behind each bike is taken from the concept of revolutionary practices with the rider and their environment in mind. Thanks to its know-how, which combines tradition and advanced technology, the company aims to be a point of reference for the cycling sector in the new millennium as well.

It all started when Ottavio Bottecchia started working with Teodoo Carnielli and began manufacturing racing bicycles, taking advantage of the knowledge acquired in the Tour de France in 1926. In 1930, after Bottecchia’s death, the Carnielli family took over the business and converted Bottecchia into a well-known bicycle brand in Europe and exporting to the US with great success. In general, the business expanded under the Carnielli family. Over the years, the small Carnielli workshop gradually became an industry. And there are around 100 workers building Bottecchia bicycles between 1930 and 1940. At the end of the sixties, old Teodoro passes over to his sons Guido and Mario. In 1973 the world’s first folding bicycle was produced and it was very successful in Europe. However, in 1997, Bottecchia was acquired by the Turato family, which has two generations of history in the manufacture of bicycles: the Cicli Esperia. In 2006, the group sold over 50,000 bikes across Europe and is looking to expand outside of Europe by considering the US, Asia and the Pacific. To tell the truth, there are already more than 50,000 bikes that were sold in Europe at that time. It was also in 2006 when the cycles assigned exclusive distributors in Australia and New Zealand. Today, the company produces around 70 models to meet all kinds of demand, and its profits are increasing year by year.

For many decades these bikes have been of particular importance in the history of cycling. The experience gained over these years helped the company develop innovative technology for professional and casual cyclists alike. The group’s bicycle technology now presents a collection of more than 40 models: racing bikes, mountain bikes, “green nature” and “city” line, super light and junior bikes. New and upcoming models include stunning designs perfect for racing, flat bars, city life, and mountain bikes.

In conclusion, the company’s goal is to introduce exciting new ideas into cycling, with style, exceptional bike design, passion, and to meet all emerging demands for road and off-road bike experience.
